SoundFonts and SFZ files | MuseScore

Generally, when you import a sequence of notes from a MIDI file, the default instrument grand piano will be used. See my blog post Using SoundFonts in for more information on this matter.

To uninstall an SFZ, simply open the folder where its files are installed gensraluser above and delete them all. Yep, glad it helped you out. Most other SoundFont synths do not support all of the programming I have used in GeneralUser GS and will cause many of the presets to sound incorrect.

Once a SoundFont has been installedit needs to be loaded into the Synthesizer in order for MuseScore to use it for playback.
